The Kennetha Sawyers
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
About Ms. Sawyers
Ms. Kennetha D. Sawyers unexpectedly transitioned on January 30, 2022. A loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, Kennetha was very supportive of her daughters Shlonda and Niesha traveling for hours in support of their many rehearsals, football games, dance competitions, and other activity involvement. She was about “family” which meant so much to her! She knew how to walk into a room and brighten it up with “Hey Everybody” or her phone calls of “What you doing?”
In Kennetha's Honor
During our 2022 Holy Convocation, the Holy Spirit spoke to our founder to establish a memorial scholarship in her honor for graduating seniors who would be attending a 2 or 4-year college/university or a vocational training program. Apostle Snider went and asked them for permission to do so and they granted it. Ms. Sawyers is also the niece of our Vice Bishop, Bishop Byron L. Sawyers, Sr.
